So tomorrow is a big day for The Purple Raven Boutique.  Tomorrow the selection above (all hand crafted by yours truly) will be going into Deveon House, the Newfoundland and Labrador Craft Council Shop in St. John’s.  I am so excited!  I hope they all sell like hotcakes!

Cage a special stone and keep it close to your heart!  The pendant in this piece started out as a ocean-polished beach rock with a greenish-blue hue.  I captured it in a copper wire cage, in a manner not unlike the old stone anchors or “killicks” that were once popular in this land.  I suspended the pendant on a Viking wire knitted chain, also in copper.  This piece will be going up for sale in my Etsy Shop early next week.

I love making Viking wire knit pieces!

According to Inuit legend, the Northern Lights were once imprisoned in the rocks along the coast of Labrador. An Inuit warrior found and freed most of them with a mighty blow of his spear. Not all were freed, and those that remain are responsible for the beautiful stone today known as Labradorite.
This bracelet features Labradorite chips and a hammered decorative clasp. The stone chips have been strung on 19-strand high quality beading wire and finished with sterling silver wire guards and crimps, for improved durability and security. The bracelet measures 8 inches in total length. It comes in white box, ready for gifting.  Click the picture to find your way there.
